Food For Thought

The Antikythera Mechanism

Found in a shipwreck off the coast of Crete, this ancient "computer" was used to calculate the position of the Sun, Moon or other astronomical information such as the location of other planets. Since the purpose was to position astronomical bodies with respect to the celestial sphere, with reference to the observer's position on the surface of the Earth, the device was based on the geocentric model.

It was carbon dated to 150 B.C. however it's level of complexity was not seen until 1575 when mechanical astrological clocks where made in Europe.

Findings like these make me ponder a few things:

1) If we have, in the past, had encounters with advanced alien life that gifted us certain technologies.

2) If our carbon dating methods are credible.

3) If we as people have simply forgotten and re-discovered some technologies over thousands of years due to unreliable documentation of said technologies.

I personal would love for #1 to be the case as I'm still actively searching for a ray gun to aid me in my quest for supreme world dominance.

Quote

"All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves."
